Available Online:
- The Power of Fiction at Rough Copy (Published 2009.)
- As The Flavor Runs Out was the first story at TQR Stories, and I’ve now got it here at my own site. TQR Stories is a unique literary project where the activities of a literary magazine staff are presented as a soap opera, in the style of SCTV, and the decision-making process on stories under consideration is public. (Writers can also interact with their editors, and even plead their case.) The stories that wind up there tend to be long, unique, and totally worth reading.
- Suburbika at Cafe Irreal. (This is something I wrote in college and I got it published around 2001.)
- Give Each Other Presents on Arbor Day from As Is Fiction, published in 1997. As Is has been defunct since 1998 but the creator, Gary Digs, still keeps the site online, god bless him. This was my first story in my first college fiction writing workshop, and it shows. The word choices are poor, the pacing is bad, the introduction of dramatic elements in sentences beginning with the word ‘The’ is irritating, and the philosophy is nonsensical– but I kind of like it anyway. It was also published in the University of Virginia’s ‘The Declaration’ journal in 1996. (Thanks, Gary!)
Not Available Online (Yet):
- Ben Chadwick’s Chanukah Story in Rattapallax #8 (Published in 2003). Old issues are located here and even though my name isn’t there, the story really was in there.
For many years, I’ve been meaning to send some more of my glossolalia to the world at large. I think I’m getting there. Expect expectorations.
